Risk for Severe Storms Friday Increasing
A risk of severe storms is increasing for Friday afternoon.
The Storm Prediction Center has placed all of North and Central Georgia under an enhanced risk of severe storms this afternoon and evening.
Numerous strong to severe storms are expected to develop during the afternoon hours today. There may be multiple rounds, particularly if we see much sunshine behind any early development. The best time for severe will come from 1PM til 9PM though a few strong storms could persist later than that. Damaging winds, hail and tornadoes are all possible with these storms so stay weather aware.
